Hausa koko is made of millet and local spice added to it to give it taste and color. Hausa koko is a breakfast mostly sold on the Ghanaian street. It’s eaten with sugar, milk and preferably groundnuts to give it a delicious taste.

Recipe & Preparation

Mix three tablespoon of hausa koko flour with small quantity of water to get a paste.
Boil 500ml of clean water
Pour the mixed paste onto the boil water in a saucepan and stir continuously for about 4 minutes
Dish out and add desired amount of sugar and milk to taste
